Mesut Ozil faces an uncertain future at Arsenal as he has under 12 months remaining on his contract and has yet to sign a new deal.

Arsenal fans were left stunned today following reports that Arsene Wenger had accept Ozil will leave as a free transfer next season.

This Telegraph article in particular claiming that Ozil is likely to leave North London for free next summer got Arsenal fans pretty worked up.

The problem Arsenal fans had with the report was that they felt Arsene Wenger did not actually say what was being claimed.

Arsenal fans were understandably not happy with the news.

Other Arsenal fans pointed out that Wenger had actually been misquoted and that he didn’t say Ozil is likely to leave for free next summer.
