It was the Italian giants who ended up clinching the deal.

AC Milan could be about to sign another player reported to be on the radar of Arsenal.

The Gunners reportedly made a £10.5 million bid for Simon Kjaer according to Fotomac which was turned down.

Turkish-Football meanwhile, reported that Kjaer has been on Liverpool’s radar since pulling out of the race to sign Southampton centre-back Virgil van Dijk.

Fanatik however, are reporting that AC Milan are currently favourites to sign the centre-back.

Per the source, Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli will arrive in Turkey this week to hold advanced talks with Fenerbahce.

The report claims that AC Milan have already agreed personal terms with the Denmark international.

Kjaer does have another two-years remaining on his contract and Fenerbahce are keen on keeping their star man at the club.

The Yellow Canaries will listen to offers that match their £17.5 million valuation.

The club is under pressure from Financial Fair Play (FFP) which has strengthened AC Milan’s hand in negotiations.

The defender is no stranger to Serie A football having already player for Palermo and Roma.

Kjaer still has close ties to Italy and got married in Rome last month.
