Jose Mourinho wants to sign Arsenal's Mesut Ozil for Man Utd

According to a report in the Daily Star, Jose Mourinho wants to bring Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil with him to Manchester United if he replaces Louis van Gaal over the summer.

The report in the daily tabloid paper cites an Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb who claim the Portuguese tactician is looking to reunite with Ozil.

However, the report seems highly unlikely given Arsenal’s financial position and their reluctance to offload its stars to Premier League rivals.

The 27-year-old playmaker was a key member of Mourinho’s Real Madrid which won the Spanish title and Copa del Rey.

Ozil has recorded 18 assists and with two matches left this season he still has a chance of matching the Premier League record of 20 set by Thierry Henry.

Arsenal host an already relegated Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium on the last day of the season. The Gunners can overtake Tottenham in second place if Spur’s suffer a defeat at the hands of Swansea City.
