Karagumruk 1-1 Bursaspor: Crocodile tears in Istanbul [divider]

Bursaspor scraped a 1-1 draw against PTT 2. Lig side Karagümrük in the Turkish Cup Group .

Karagümrük took the lead when Ali Kuçik headed the ball into the Bursaspor net on five minutes.

The Istanbul based side went into the first half break with the lead and were leading until the last 10 minutes when Volkan Şen scored the equaliser.

Bursaspor ended the game with 10 men after Traore was shown a straight red card for a rash challenge in additional time.

Karagümrük moved into first place in Group C on four points following the draw. Bursaspor remain in second place on two points.

Bursaspor complained about some of the banners used by fans of the Istanbul club. Karagümrük have close ties to Beşiktaş who are bitter rivals of the Green Crocodiles.

A group of Karagümrük fans had banners reading, “You better know where you are, you are in Karagümrük.”
