Feyenoord held Serie A giants Roma to a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico stadium in the first-leg of the Europa League Round of 32.
Roma took an early lead but Kazim Richards equalised in the second half to give Feyenoord an important away goal going into the second leg.
Richards told DHA reporters after the game that he believes he has done enough to warrant a return to the Turkish national team.
“We played really well against a tough Roma side, god willing I will make my return to the Turkish national team, I miss playing for Turkey,” Richards said.

The Turkish international has scored 10 goals and provided six assists in all competitions for Feyenoord this season.
Richards hopes his impressive goal record will get noticed by Crescent-Stars boss Fatih Terim.
“If I keep scoring like this hopefully Fatih Terim will call me back,” he added.
The English born Turkish international has two goals in 35 appearances for the Turkish national team.
Richards made his debut for Turkey back in June 2007 under Terim.
