Kerem Akturkoglu Strikes Again For Benfica

Benfica continued their impressive form in the Portuguese Premier League, securing a convincing 5-1 win over Gil Vicente.

The victory marked Benfica’s third consecutive league win, bringing their points tally to 16. They are now just five points behind league leaders Sporting.

Turkish duo Kerem Akturkoglu and Orkun Kökcü played key roles in the match.

Akturkoglu scored a crucial goal in the 25th minute to put his side 2-1 ahead, while Kökcü contributed to the team’s overall performance.

Akturkoglu now has three goals and two assists in just four games for the Portuguese giants since joining from Galatasaray.

The Turkish international has been one of the star signings for Benfica this season.

Benfica’s victory was highlighted by goals from Nicolas Otamendi, Akturkoglu, Zeki Amdouni, Florentino Luis, and Benjamin Rollheiser.

With this win behind them, Benfica will now shift their focus to their upcoming Champions League fixture against Atlético Madrid.

They will also have a domestic match against Nacional in the Portuguese league.

Kokcu and Akturkoglu are expected to keep their place in the side after establishing themselves as star players.

Akturkoglu joined Benfica on a €12m move from Galatasaray this summer and is under contract until 2029.

Kokcu meanwhile, joined Benfica on a €25m move from Feyenoord last summer and has three goals and three assists in eight appearances in all competitions this season.
