‘Let him go Man Utd’ – Arsenal fans convinced they already have an Ozil replacement – Wenger prepare to cash in on him in January

Arsenal fans are preparing for life without Mesut Ozil after the 28-year-old failed to pen a new deal with the north London-based club.

The 28-year-old has under nine months remaining on his contract with the Gunners and will be able to discuss terms with European clubs in January.

According to the Mirror, Arsenal are prepared to cash in on Ozil in January rather than lose him on a free transfer next summer. However, Arsenal fans are convinced they already have a replacement for Ozil.

Following a 1-0 win over League 1 side Doncaster Rovers, some fans believe that Jack Wilshere can step up in Ozil’s absence. It was the first time Wilshere completed a full 90 minutes for the Gunners since 2014.

Ozil has been sidelined over the past fortnight due to a knee injury. The 28-year-old was also left out of Joachim Low’s Germany national team squad.
