Liverpool defensive target asking price increased to £17.5m, AC Milan set to send sporting director for talks in Turkey

Fenerbahce have increased the asking price for star defender Simon Kjaer.

Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik report that the Yellow Canaries want £17.5 million for the Danish international.

Fenerbahce previously set Kjaer’s price at £13.3 million.

The Istanbul giants have increased their valuation for Kjaer following interest from across Europe including Italian giants AC Milan, Liverpool, Lyon, Monaco and PSG.

Kjaer does have another two-years remaining on his current contract and has established himself as a key player as well as a fan favourite.

The report also claims that AC Milan sporting director Massimilano Mirabelli is set to arrive in Turkey for talks.

Per the source, Liverpool, Monaco, PSG, Lyon are also in the race for the 29-year-old centre-back.

Turkish-Football also recently reported that the Reds are plotting a move for Kjaer after talks with Southampton defender Virgin van Dijk broke down.

The Denmark international has experience playing in Italy and France but has yet to play in the Premier League.

Kjaer finished the season with three goals and one assist in 43 games for the Yellow Canaries.
