Liverpool has joined the race to sign SC Freiburg star centre-back Caglar Soyuncu this summer.
A source close to the player has revealed to Turkish-Football that the Merseyside based club have enquired about the availability of Soyuncu.
Per the source, the Reds will have scouts present during Turkey’s encounter with Russia tonight monitoring the powerful defender. Soyuncu agent Mustafa Dogru will also present at this evening’s fixture.
This is not the first time Liverpool have been linked with Soyuncu, the official Bundesliga website recently reported that the Reds are interested.
Fellow Premier League side Arsenal are also understood to be interested in a move for the 22-year-old.
According to the Telegraph, Freiburg value their in-demand defender at £35 million.

The rising star has confirmed interest from Premier League sides and revealed that he will hold talks after the international break.
“I had a great season,“ Soyuncu was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football said when asked about reports linking him with a move to the Arsenal.
“We are thinking about taking that next step up.
“I told my agent and my club that I want to hold talks about my future after the international break.
“The talks will be held after the national team games.”
Soyuncu played a starring role for Turkey during their last two international friendlies and scored the equalising goal against Tunisia on Friday.
The former Altinordu man is expected to retain his place in Mircea Lucescu’s starting eleven and start against the World Cup host’s Russia in Moscow this evening.
Soyuncu scored one goal in 26 Bundesliga appearances for Freiburg this season.
