Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has taken to social media to celebrate his 22nd birthday.
The former Bayer Leverkusen man posted a picture of himself with a birthday cake along with caption, “Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! And a special thank to my bro @cnyt12 for the cake.”
Can snubbed Bayern Munich to join Liverpool for an £8 million fee from Bayer Leverkusen back in July 2014.
The Germany international spent the majority of his time playing in a three man defence under Brenden Rodgers.
However, since the appointment of Jurgen Klopp Can has been deployed in a three man midfield. Can played the full 90 minutes in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Stoke City at the Britannia stadium in the League Cup semi-final first-leg tie.
Liverpool host Stoke City at Anfield for the return leg on January 26 January 2016.
The 22-year-old put on another hard working performance in midfield making the joint highest number of tackles (4) and also helped keep possession making the joint highest number of passes (43).
