The Fenerbahce full-back Caner Erkin has caught the attention of Liverpool scouts according to the AMK newspaper.
The report states that the Red’s chief analysts Dave McDonough and scout Kevin Hunt were present at the Istanbul Derby between Fenerbahce and Besiktas on Monday.
AMK go onto claim that the Liverpool duo were impressed with Caner Erkin’s performance.
Erkin could be on his way to the Premier League in July with his current deal with Fenerbahce set to expire at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old rejected the advances of Chelsea and Liverpool to agree a new deal with Fenerbahce back in 2014 according to the Mirror.
Fenerbahce currently sit in first place in the Turkish Super lig with 53 points in 23 games. The Yellow Canaries take on Akhisar in the next round of games.
Caner has made 24 appearances for Fenerbahce this season, providing eight assist and has scored one goal.
