Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino is on par with Arsenal’s star playmaker Mesut Ozil according to the former player of the year Ronaldinho.
Ronaldinho went onto say that he believes Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will build his side around the Brazil international.
“He’s one of the best at what he does in the world. He’s in the same class as Ozil, Silva, Iniesta, and all the other great players who play that role,” Ronaldinho was quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.
“He’s the player that I’m sure Klopp will build his new Liverpool team around.”
Firmino has six assists and five goals in 28 appearances for Liverpool this season. The 24-year-old joined from the Bundesliga side Hoffenheim for £28.7 million last summer.
Ozil has 16 assists in the Premier League this season and is just four assists away from matching Henry’s record record tally of 20.
Arsenal take on Burnley in the FA Cup this weekend and Southampton in the Premier League next week. The Gunners slipped down to third place following last weekends defeat and are just two points ahead of their bitter rivals Tottenham.
