Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez could join Beşiktaş by Monday according to Corriero Dello Sport.
The report claims that Gomez is on the verge of joining the Süper Lig outfit despite interest from other clubs.
Beşiktaş recently completed the transfer of Ricardo Quaresma but are desperate to sign a striker following the sale of Demba Ba to Chinese giants Shanghai Shenhua for €14 million.
The Black Eagles have also been closely linked with Loic Remy and Dame N’Doye over the summer.
Gomez recently revealed that he is yet to make a decision on his future following Fiorentina’s 4-1 defeat against PSG.
“This is a very important period for me,” Gomez was quoted as saying by the Express.
“We have to understand what the best thing is for me and for Fiorentina, nothing is decided yet.”
The Germany international’s agent Uli Ferber recently admitted being in talks with the Black Eagles but also underlined being in negotiations with other clubs.
The Independent recently stated that Liverpool are considering swapping Mario Balotelli with Mario Gomez.
Ferber told German magazine Sport1: “There are negotiations going on with several different clubs, including Besiktas.
“But nothing has been signed or agreed on yet. Nothing is decided.”
