Liverpool v Chelsea – Confirmed starting line-up’s – Emre Can starts

Liverpool host Chelsea in the first leg of the Capital One Cup semi final clash against Chelsea. The Reds have lost only one of their last 14 games in all competitions, while their opponents lead the Premier League table.
Emre Can has been included in tonights starting line up. Can has played the last six games as a defender in Rogers back three despite being a central midfielder.
The Germany U20 international will play in a back three alongside Martin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho,
The former Bayer midfielder was first deployed as a defender in the second half during Liverpool’s 1-0 win against Burnley in the Premier League.
Can has made 15 appearances for the Reds this season.
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has returned to the starting line-up after missing the weekends game due to injury.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has opted to field a full strength side in the Cup Semi Final.
