Man City transfer news: Liverpool star midfielder tipped for shock move to City by bookies

Liverpool star midfielder Emre Can has been tipped for a move to title rivals Manchester City.

The Germany international has been linked with an Anfield exit after failing to pen a new deal with the Reds.

Can has under six months remaining on his contract and could end up leaving the club for free next summer.

According to SkyBet, Man City are favourites to land Can, followed by Juve, with Bayern in third place.

The 23-year-old will be allowed to discuss pre-contract terms with European sides from January 1 onwards.

Can played a starring role during Liverpool’s victory over Brighton over the weekend after scoring the opening goal. Jurgen Klopp’s side went onto record a 5-1 win and moved up into fourth place.

Liverpool take on Spartak Moscow in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday before hosting Everton in the Merseyside Derby.

Can has four goals and two assists in 19 appearances for the Reds this season.
