Man United transfer news: Fenerbahce negotiations with £27m star midfielder Marouane Fellaini ongoing

Belgium international midfielder Marouane Fellaini’s long-term future at Manchester United could be in doubt.

Turkish-Football can reveal that talks between Fenerbahce and Fellaini’s representatives are currently on-going.

Fenerbahce will not be signing Fellaini this summer, but want to sign him on a free transfer next year.

Yellow Canary chiefs traveled to Manchester this week to hold early talks with the combative midfielder’s representatives. Fenerbahce are willing to guarantee Fellaini first team football in central midfield.

Fellaini was closely linked with a move to Galatasaray earlier this summer. However, United boss Jose Mourinho put a stop to the transfer.

“It’s easier for Galatasaray to get me than to get Maroaune [Fellaini], Forget it. He’s too important to me.” Mourinho was quoted as saying by Goal.

The Belgium international made the move to United for £27 million [BBC] back in 2014.

The Red Devils face Stoke City in their next Premier League game on September 9 as they look to maintain their winning run. Fenerbahce meanwhile take on an in-form Istanbul Basaksehir in the Turkish Super League.
