Man Utd offer £32.5m for Roma star amid Victor Lindelof deal stalling
Manchester United have made a £32.5 million offer for Roma star defender Kostas Manolas according to the Sun.
Per the source, Jose Mourinho has made the offer after talks with Victor Lindelof hit the rocks.
United were closely linked with a move for Lindelof but talks have stalled after Benfica ran into a dispute with his former club Vasteras.
Mourinho is keen on signing a new centre-back in January and has been linked with defenders across Europe.
United have struggled in defence this season and Mourinho is reported to be keen on adding depth and strengthening his defence.
A source close to Fenerbahce revealed to Turkish-Football that United had also kept tabs on centre-back Simon Kjaer last season and over the first half of the league campaign.
Chelsea have also been keeping tabs on Kjaer this season but the Yellow Canaries are intent on keeping him at the club until at least the end of the season.
Roma are also reluctant to part ways with Manolas who joined the club on a £12.8 million move from Olympiakos in 2014.
Manolas still has another two-years remaining on his current Roma contract.
