Man Utd winger reveals his toughest game was against Besiktas

Manchester United winger Nani has revealed that the Beşiktaş Inönü stadium was the most intimidating stadium he has played in.

“I have played in many great stadiums but I must say playing Beşiktaş in the Champions League was the toughest and in England it has to be Liverpool away,” Nani was quoted as saying by the Fanatik.

Nani played in United’s 1-0 win over Beşiktaş at the Inönü stadium back in the 2009-10 season Champions League Group B game.

The match was played on 15 September and was the opening game of the group stages.

The Black Eagles finished the group stages in last place while Manchester United topped the group to progress to the Round of 32.

The Portuguese international winger is on the verge of completing a move to fellow Süper Lig outfit Fenerbahçe after agreeing personal terms with the Istanbul giants.

The 28-year-old winger spent last season on loan at Sporting Lisbon scoring 12 goals and eight assists in 38 appearances but is expected to leave United on a permanent move in the next few days.
