Manchester United single out Arsenal star as ‘one to watch’ ahead of weekend clash
Manchester United have singled out Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil in the lead up to this weekend’s blockbuster fixtures.
The Red Devils have recently been linked with a move for the Germany international. Ozil has a strong relationship with Man United boss Jose Mourinho. The pair won the La Liga title together during their spell at Real Madrid.
According to the Daily Star, Mourinho is a huge fan of the Germany international and is ‘eager to snap him up’.
Meanwhile, Manchester United’s official website named Ozil as the ‘one to watch’ in their match preview.

“Mesut Ozil is in peak form and has returned from illness to showcase his world-class ability,” the preview states.
“Like Alexis Sanchez, he may be out of contract in the summer and has not yet committed his future to the Gunners, but the German remains a major influence and is capable of unlocking any defence.
“He has two goals and five assists from his last five Premier League outings.”
Ozil was the star of the show during Arsenal’s 5-0 victory over Huddersfield on Wednesday and put in a man of the match display against Tottenham last month.
The 29-year-old could however be on his way out of Arsenal for free next summer after failing to pen a new deal.
