Mesut Özil has stated that he believes Arsenal have the ability to beat every team in the Premier League and that the Gunners can land the league title this season.
Arsenal finished the 2014-15 season in third place,12 points behind the winners Chelsea. Arsene Wenger’s side last won the Premier League back in 2004.
The Gunners peaked in the second half of last season however a poor start to the campaign cost them a shot at the title.
Özil hopes things will be different this season and has claimed that Arsenal can lift the Premier League title in 2016.
“It was only in the second half of the season that we showed how well we can play, especially against big teams,” Özil told Sport1
“We can sustain [a title challenge]. If the players stay fit, then we have a lot of potential.
“We also know that the other teams are good but we have the potential to beat any team.”
The World Cup winner has won two Vitality Arsenal Player of the Month and a PFA Fans Player of the Month award since the turn of the year.
Özil provided nine assists and five goals in 32 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions last season.
