Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to congratulate Arsenal on their win over Burnely in the forth round of the FA Cup.

The 27-year-old was rested and watched the game from the stands.

Ozil posted a selfie while watching the cup clash along with the caption, “Made it to the next round, duty fulfilled! That’s all that counted today.”

Ozil is expected to return to the starting line-up for Arsenal’s premier league clash with Southampton on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old has 16 assists in the Premier League this season and is just four assists away from matching Henry’s record record tally of 20.

Arsenal currently find themselves in third place in the league following a defeat to Chelsea last weekend. The Gunners are just two points above rivals Tottenham who sit in forth place.

The North London based side can return to the top of the table if both Leicester City and Manchester City drop points.
