Mesut Ozil has stated that he plans to see out his contract with Arsenal during an interview with BT Sport.
The 27-year-old has two years remaining on his contract with the North London based side.
“I still have two more years after this season, as I have said in the past, I feel really good,” Mesut Ozil told BT Sport ahead of Arsenal’s clash with West Ham United.
“My team mates are great, the city is great, but as said, you can never tell what will happen in football.
“But I have two more years after this season, and yes, as I said before, I am very happy here.”
Interestingly, the Sun has claimed that Ozil has held talks with Fenerbahce over a potential transfer at some point in the next three years.
The Turkish newspaper Hurriyet also reported that the 27-year-old’s agent met with Fenerbahce officials late last year. Ozil has of course been in impressive form for the north London based club having provided the highest number of assists in the league (19) and the most chances (119).
The former Real Madrid man has also picked up four Arsenal player of the month awards and is expected to win player of the year as well.
