Arsenal star Mesut Özil has had a lot to cheer about recently. The World Cup winner has won the Gunners player of the month award for the past three consecutive months and provided 16 assists in the Premier League.
London derbies are always a big deal but the Arsenal – Chelsea clash will hold even more importance for Özil who is set to make his 100th appearance for the Gunners.
Özil has a grand total of 17 goals and 39 assists in his last 99 games for the north London based outfit since joining from Real Madrid on a record £42.5 million transfer in 2013.
The 27-year-old playmaker has won two FA Cup titles and the Charity Shield during his time at Arsenal.
Arsenal take on Chelsea today at the Emirates needing a win to end the week as Premier League leaders three points clear of Manchester City and ahead of Leicester City on goal difference.
