‘Michail Antonio should be on the verge of a fine’ – Former England international reveals West Ham v Liverpool prediction
Former England international Paul Merson has revealed his prediction for Liverpool’s clash with West Ham United this weekend.
The Reds travel down to London to take on the Hammers as they look to record their third win in a row. West Ham meanwhile are without a victory in their last two games.
Merson believes Liverpool will record a comfortable 3-1 win over West Ham this weekend. The SkySports pundit also slammed Michail Antonio for his role in the goal West Ham conceded last weekend.
“West Ham last week, seriously… Michail Antonio should be on the verge of getting a two-week fine for what he did,” Merson told SkySports.
“I honestly cannot believe what he done, it was unbelievable.
“I am going to go for Liverpool to win here. I just think they will have too much firepower for them defensively.
“So I am going to go 3-1, as how are Liverpool ever going to keep a clean sheet?!”
Germany international Emre Can is expected to keep his place in Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup. The combative midfielder scored against Maribor in the Champions League earlier this week.
Can does however have under eight months remaining on his contract with the Merseyside based club. The 23-year-old could end up leaving Liverpool for free next summer.
Klopp’s side can move up into fourth spot with a win this weekend.
