Turkey were agonisingly close to an away victory in the Amsterdam Arena tonight as they lead the Netherlands until the 90+2 minute.

Fatih Terim’s side took the lead in the 37th minute when Burak Yilmaz showed composure in the box to turn and fire past the Netherlands goalkeeper Cillessen.

The Netherlands resorted to long ball football in the latter stages of the game and found the equaliser in the 90+2 minute when Wesley Sneijder’s deflected shot found the back of the net.
