Newcastle prepare record £18m move for Galatasaray star who West Ham missed out on signing this summer
Newcastle United are preparing a shock £18 million bid for Galatasaray midfielder Badou Ndiaye according to the Aksam newspaper.
Per the source, the Magpies are prepared to break their transfer record on the Senegal international – which was set by the Michael Owen transfer, costing £17 million [Chronicle].
The report claims that Rafa Benitez has grown frustrated with Hayden and is in pursuit of a powerful, box to box midfielder.
West Ham were closely linked with Ndiaye this summer and held talks with the midfielder over the summer according to Sky Sports.

The Lions ended signed Ndiaye from Osmanlispor and he has hit the ground running at his new club.
Galatasaray are not keen on selling their star man but would be forced to consider the offer as he has an £18 million release clause.
The Istanbul giants are currently first in the Super Lig on 26 points after 11 games.
Ndiaye has played an important role in Galatasaray’s ascent to the top of the table, featuring in all but one league game this season.
The 27-year-old started in for Senegal in their 2-1 victory over South Africa which booked them a place in the 2018 World Cup.
The powerful midfielder has one goal in 14 international games for Senegal.
