Neymar drops Manchester United hint after Mourinho admission, could result in Arda Turan Barcelona stay

Barcelona star Neymar dropped a hint that he would like to play Premier League football in the near future and that he admires Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Neymar did however, mention one manager in particular out of the clubs he admires, Jose Mourinho.

The Brazilian forward also revealed that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola would be a coach any player would like to work for but did not include the Citizens among the Premier League sides he admires.

He told The Sun: “The Premier League is a championship that amazes me.

“I like the playing style and the teams. And who knows, someday, I would like to play at it, yes.

“I admire Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool – these are the teams that are always there fighting.

“And then you have high-level coaches like Mourinho and Guardiola. These are coaches with whom any player would like to work.”

Neymar does not explicitly say he will leave Barcelona this summer but his latest comments have been interpreted as a hint that he could be destined for a Premier League move in the British press.

United have been linked with Neymar in the past, the Mirror reported last November that Jose Mourinho had the star forward exclusively scouted.

The report also claimed that Neymar would cost more than the Paul Pogba transfer which is currently the most expensive fee ever paid for a player.

If Neymar were to leave the transfer fee would be enough to cover Messi’s reported €35 million per-season contract demands according to AS.

Per the source, Barcelona were considering selling Arda Turan to generate the funds to renew Messi’s contract.

The sale of Neymar would raise more than double and perhaps triple of what Messi is demanding which could result in Turan staying on at the club.

The Turkish international does have another three-years remaining on his current contract and has been in good form this season scoring 13 times and providing seven assists.

Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut has told Turkish-Football on numerous occasions that his client is settled at Barcelona and wants to stay on at the club.
