‘Nice evening with the team for a good cause!’ – Arsenal star Mesut Ozil supports second charitable event this week
Arsenal star Mesut Ozil earned widespread praise for his support of the Gillingham based-cancer charity My Shining Star following the 2-0 victory over Sunderland last week.
Ozil invited 11-year-old brain tumour sufferer Charlie into his private Emirates Stadium box for Arsenal’s clash with Sunderland.

“Mesut Ozil’s PR manager has been in touch to say that he personally invites Charlie as a guest in his box at the Emirates, at the Arsenal match against Sunderland,” Anita from the My Shining Star charity was quoted as saying by the Mirror.
The Germany international of Turkish origin partook in another charitable event yesterday.
Ozil attended the annual #NightToInspire fundraising event at the Emirates for the AFC Foundation.
The 28-year-old shared a picture on his Instagram alongside his teammates and used his post to raise further awareness for the Arsenal charity.
