Borussia Dortmund has stated that Liverpool are a “extremely well-organised team.”
The 27-year-old joined Liverpool on loan in August 2012 from Real Madrid however, Sahin departed midway though the season after falling out with Brendan Rodgers.
“What I will never forget is the training ground. The club Liverpool is great, Sahin told Sport1.
“Even if they have not won a major title since 2005, it is an extremely well-organised team.”
Dortmund face Liverpool in the Europa League tomorrow evening at the Signal Iduna Park.
The Bundesliga giants go into the game in great form having won 15 of their 17 games in 2016 – drawing the other two.
The Turkish international has struggled with injuries this season and has made just six appearances for Dortmund this season.
Dortmund have been handed a major boost following Ilkay Gundogan’s return to first team training. Captain Mats Hummels and centre back Sokratis Papastathopoulos also returned to training after sitting out Saturday’s win over Werder Bremen.
