Paul Merson Predicts Everton Boss Future & Final Score Against Burnley

Former Arsenal player and current Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has given his prediction for the Burnley vs Everton game set to be played on Saturday.

Merson gave more than a simple match prediction, he went one step further and revealed he would be surprised if Everton manager Sam Allardyce is in charge of the club beyond the end of the season.

Allardyce is under a lot of pressure and there have been rumors that his position is under threat.

Despite the criticism, Big Sam has guided Everton into 9th place in the league and an away win against Burnley could see them move into 7th.

Merson does not however, see Everton winning the game despite underlining that he can’t remember the last time Burnley won a game.

The former Arsenal man predicts a 1-1 draw.

“It’s been a weird season for Burnley so far. If they didn’t start the season like they did they would be right in the mix for relegation. I cannot remember the last time they won a football match,” Merson said.

“Meanwhile, I watched Everton against Watford last weekend and it wasn’t good. The way Everton are playing now I’d be surprised if Sam Allardyce was there next season. I know he’s got a contract beyond that but I can’t see him staying.”

Turkey international Cenk Tosun is available for the clash but has not started any of the Toffees last four games.

Former Akhisar man Oumar Niasse has got the nod ahead of Tosun.

The 27-year-old did put on a poor display in the 1-0 defeat to Watford which has given Tosun a chance of winning his place back in the first team.

We will find out what Big Sam decides tomorrow.
