City take on United in the first Manchester derby on foreign soil on Thursday in Houston, USA.
Midfielder of Turkish origin Ilkay Gundogan could be set to play his first ever Manchester derby despite joining the club last summer.
Gundogan missed all three Manchester derbies last season due to injury, in fact if he does return for the derby clash it will be his first competitive game for City since December.
The 26-year-old has been sidelined since December with a knee injury.
Gundogan has returned to team training and shared an update of his preparations on Twitter yesterday.
