A picture shared by the German outlet DW Sports has sparked fresh speculation that Ilkay Gundogan is set to leave Borussia Dortmund.
The Germany international looked to be a lonely figure after Dortmund’s German Cup win over Hertha Berlin last week.
Gundogan was pictured walking towards the tunnel while his teammates celebrated on the pitch following their 3-0 win.
The Express newspaper have reported that both Arsenal and Liverpool are keen on the 25-year-old but are yet to table an offer.
However, Manchester City are set to finalise the transfer of Ilkay Gundogan according to the Daily Mail. The daily newspaper states that the Germany international is close to completing a £23 million move to the City Blues.
The Sun newspaper claims that City director of football Txiki Begiristain and Pep Guardiola have managed to convince the Germany international of Turkish origin to join the club after weeks of talks.
