The Black Eagles have struggled as far as their strikers are concerned since selling Cenk Tosun to Everton over the winter transfer window.
Tosun scored more goals than first-choice striker Alvaro Negredo did all season and Vagner Love did not exactly set the league alight.
Love is nearing a move to Brazil, while Negredo is not expected to be first-choice striker next season.
Besiktas have made signing a new striker a priority this summer.
The Eagles would preferably want Morelos on loan with a buyout option due to financial constraints.
