Real Madrid have set their sights on the in-demand Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
The Sport-Express editor Artur Petrosyan has stated that both the La Liga giants and Juventus have joined Liverpool in the race for the Germany international.
“Juventus are now also in for Ilkay Gundogan. Them, Real Madrid and Liverpool will all try to sign him in the summer.” Petrosyan said on his twitter page.
Liverpool have maintained their interest in the 25-year-old after failing to sign him over the summer. Gundogan singed a one year contract extension at the start of the season however, has turned down (Bild) his club’s latest contract offer.
Gundogan is currently tied into a contract at Dortmund until 2017. The midfield playmaker has six assists and three goals in 32 appearances for Dortmund this season.
Dortmund sit in second place in the Bundesliga with 48 points in 21 games. The Bundesliga giants take on Porto in the UEFA Champions league this week.
