Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun scored the winning goal in Turkey’s World Cup qualifier against Croatia earlier in the week.

Tosun has been in impressive form for club and country, winning back to back league titles with the Black Eagles.

“Crystal Palace offered €13.5 million on transfer deadline day,” Tosun was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.

“Had they made the bid a week earlier I would be playing in the Premier league right now.

“I would only leave Besiktas if I made my club money and if the circumstances are right.

“Now I’m focused on winning my third consecutive league title, playing Champions League football and focusing on international football.”

Tosun netted an impressive 20 Turkish Super Lig goals last season and already has scored two this campaign.

The 26-year-old striker does not need a work permit to play in the Premier League as he was born in Germany.

The powerful striker has six goals and one assist in 21 international caps for Turkey.

Besiktas are currently second in the Super Lig with seven points after three games.

The Black Eagles will face Monaco, Porto and Red Bull Leipzig in the Champions League.
