Revealed: How Man United legend Sir Alex Ferguson is being used as inspiration to develop Turkish golden generation
Altinordu are developing a reputation for nurturing some of the most exciting talent in Turkish football.
The PTT.1 Lig side have invested heavily in youth development and have vast grounds across the Aegean coast training locally based players.
The Izmir based outfit have introduced a policy of only playing club grown footballers with the goal of building a side made up fully of players developed by the club.
The club revealed today that they draw inspiration from Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson.
Altinordu shared a picture on their official Twitter account of their latest tribute to Ferguson.
The club have printed a famous quote of Ferguson on the wall in their training grounds.
The quote translates to: “Money, can get you a good player, a lot of money can get you all the best players but to develop a good player takes more than money, it takes love and hard work.”

Sir Ferguson was renowned for focusing on player development and giving youngsters a chance.
One of the most successful United teams was the ‘Class of 92’. David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Paul Scholes all rose through the youth ranks together before being promoted to the senior side.
Altinordu have already started to export players. Twenty-year-old defender Caglar Soyuncu joined Bundesliga outfit Freiburg over the summer.
Meanwhile 19-year-old Cengiz Under joined surprise title challengers Basaksehir and has been one of the transfers of the season scoring nine goals and providing seven assists.
Altinordu host several scouts from across Europe each week keeping tabs on their youth sides.
