Revealed: Liverpool star and £30m Rated Cenk Tosun Nominated For Champions League Goal of the Group Stage

Cenk Tosun was part of a Besiktas side that made history in the Champions League this season.

Tosun has a direct role in six of the goals, scoring four and providing two assists.

The 26-year-old’s goal from 25 metres in the 3-1 away win over Porto has been nominated for the Champions League Goal of the Group Stage.

Liverpool also topped their group and were among just four teams – including Besiktas – to make it through the first round unbeaten.

Sadio Mane ended up scoring three goals and providing one assist, one of his finishes also made the final list of nominees for Goal of the Group Stage.

Mane’s volley in the 7-0 win over Spartak Moscow on Match Day 6 also made the list.

The other nominees are Real Madrid star Gareth Bale for his goal in the 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund.

Atletico Madrid ace Antoine Griezmann made the list for his goal in the 2-0 win over Roma.

Meanwhile Roma star Edin Dzeko made the final cut for his effort in the 3-3 draw against Chelsea.

Fellow Roma man Stephan El Shaarawy also made it for his goal in the 3-0 win over the Blues.

Voting is open to the public on the official UEFA website and the poll closes on Monday.
