Wonderkid Who Admires Firmino Hopes To Become Liverpool Star After Striking Five-Year Deal

Liverpool wonderkid Rhian Brewster will sign a five-year pro contract as reported by Turkish-Football yesterday.

Brewster turned down interest from Arenal and Tottenham to stay on at Anfield.

The 18-year-old has revealed that he hopes to become a star player for Liverpool breaking into the first-team.

The forward is eligible to represent both Turkey and England at international level due to having a Turkish mother.

The rising star revealed he wants to play for England and make the European Championship or World Cup.

“My hope now is to be playing regular football, so I can play at the highest level for club and country. The next World Cup or even the next Euros, I want to be in with a shot of being picked. That’s what I strive for, to be the best I can be, to hopefully give me the best opportunity to get there,” Brewster told Goal.

“The only way you can do that is by getting a chance in club football. I can’t wait for mine.”

Brewster also revealed that he is a keen admirer of Liverpool start Roberto Firmino.

“I like to watch Firmino and the rest. It’s about being the best I can be, and if that means learning stuff off other people, then I’ll do it,” he said.

In fact if he were to build the ‘ideal striker’ it would be a combination of Firmino, former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and Arsenal legend Theirry Henry.

“If I was building an ideal striker?” he smiles. “Ooh, it’d be a bit of Firmino, a bit of Suarez, and a bit of Thierry Henry,” he added.

“Growing up, Henry was my idol. He’s the reason I wanted to play football. If you could put all those three together, you’d have some player!”
