Altınordu’s talented young goalkeeper, Mert Furkan Bayram (born 2005), is reportedly on the verge of a transfer to Spanish giants Atlético Madrid.
Known for developing young talent, Altınordu is set to see another player move to a major European club.

Negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs regarding transfer fees and sell-on clauses.
If details are finalized, Atlético Madrid is prepared to offer Bayram a five-year contract.
Bayram is currently representing Turkey at the U19 European Championship.
The 19-year-old impressed in his first professional season with Altınordu in 2023-2024. He earned call-ups to the U18 and U19 national teams and competed for the starting role in Altınordu’s first team.
Bayram kept clean sheets in six out of 16 TFF 2 league appearances. He conceded 17 goals while maintaining a strong presence in goal.
If the move goes through, Bayram will become the fourth Turkish player to feature for Atlético Madrid. He joins Arda Turan (2012-2013), Emre Belözoğlu (2023-2024 loan), and Çağlar Söyüncü (2023-2024 loan) in this prestigious company.
This transfer would be a major step for Bayram’s career and showcase Altınordu’s reputation for developing exceptional young players.
