Samed Yeşil has stated that his is ‘really excited’ at the prospect of playing in a Merseyside Derby.
Everton U21 host Liverpool U21 tonight at Goodison Park, kick off is at 19:00 (GMT).
“It’s always nice to be back playing and to score goals,” Yeşil told Liverpool’s official website.
“It was quite tough [against Tottenham] because it was a long time that I didn’t start a game. I know that I wasn’t ready to play 90 minutes but I’m sure against Everton I will be ready to play [the full game].

“I’m really excited because it’s now three years and it’s my first derby because I was out through injuries.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to play in a Premier League stadium and it’s always a different feeling playing in front of so many supporters.”
The former Leverkusen striker only recently recovered from a double cruciate ligament injury that has seen him spend most of the season on the sidelines.
Yeşil now has four goals in seven U21 appearances for the Reds this season.
