The Reds were unable to find the back of the net again and Harvey Hodd scored the winner for Fleetwood.
Liverpool U21 boss Michael Beale revealed he was delighted to see Yeşil score against but obviously disappointed with the defeat.
“It was great to see Samed score again following on from his two goals in our win at Tottenham last week,” Beale told the official Liverpool FC website.
“We created a lot of chances but were very wasteful in front of goal so we will be hoping to put that right against Everton.”
Yeşil only recently recovered from a double cruciate ligament injury that has seen him spend most of the season on the sidelines.
The young striker now has four goals in seven U21 appearances for the Reds this season.
