Juventus are the latest side to be linked with a move for Barcelona’s out of favour defender Thomas Vermaelen.
The Italian outlet Tuttosport claim that the newly crowned Serie A champions will make an approach for the Belgium international if their bid to sign Bayern Munich’s Mehdi Benatia fails.
Meanwhile Premier League clubs Chelsea, Liverpool and West Ham United are all interested in signing Barcelona’s defender Thomas Vermaelen according to Fichajes.
However, Besiktas have already held early talks with the Barcelona over the transfer of Vermaelen. The Black Eagles are looking to sign the former Arsenal man on a season long loan.
Besiktas at the top of the Premier League and are currently six points ahead of their Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce. Barcelona take on Real Betis in the Spanish league next weekend. Luis Enrique’s side recorded a 6-0 win over Sporting this week.
