The Serie A champions Juventus are set to join Liverpool in the race to sign Ilkay Gundogan in the summer, according to the Italian outlet Tuttosport (vis TalkSport).
The report states that Juve are already planning for the summer transfer window with Gundogan and PSG’s Edinson Cavani topping the shortlist.
Gundogan has been linked with a move to Liverpool since the appointment of Jurgen Klopp. The pair worked together at Dortmund where together they won the Bundesliga and reached the final of the UEFA Champions League.
The 25-year-old Germany international recently admitted that he was considering his future.
“There is still no decision, and of course, everything has to be considered very carefully, because your career is limited in time,” Gundogan was quoted as saying by Goal.
“But to be honest, everything is still open.”
Gundogan is tied into a contract at Dortmund until 2017 after signing a contract extension at the start of the season. The midfield playmaker has six assists and three goals in 29 appearances for Liverpool this season.
