Former West Ham striker Dean Ashton has stated that Slaven Bilic is his favourite to take over as manager of the club.
Bilic is currently Beşiktaş head coach but has revealed that he will be parting company with the Black Eagles at the end of the season.
“Unai Emery is another manager that you just think, if he won the Europa League with Sevilla has he gone as far as he can with them? He’s a manager that I love. I love the way they play but I think Slaven’s probably the favourite for the job,” Ashton told talkSPORT.
The former Croatian national team manager has failed to win any trophies at Beşiktaş but was involved in the 2014-15 title race until the last few weeks and maintained an unbeaten record in Istanbul against English opposition.
Beşiktaş beat Tottenham as well as Liverpool while holding Arsenal to a goalless draw.
