Slaven Bilic urges players not to get arrogant [divider]

Slaven Bilic has urged his players to remain humble after moving into first position in the league and Europa League.

“We have a lot of ambition,” Bilic said.

“Yes, of course it would be great to win the league and Europa League but we must stay humble and not let ourselves get arrogant. 

“First thing is first, we have to progress from the group stages. 

“We will take every game as it comes and hope to maintain our form, we want to progress as far as we can in Europe and win the league in Turkey.”

Beşiktaş are currently joint first in the Süper Lig alongside Fenerbahçe on 20 points.

The Black Eagles are also joint first in the Europa League Group C on eight points with Tottenham.

Beşiktaş need a point against Asteras to progress into the Round of 32.
