Slaven Bilic – ‘We are not going to play for a draw’ [divider]

Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic has revealed that his side will not be playing for a draw against Asteras in the Europa League Group C clash.

“We know one point is enough for us to qualify but we will not be playing for the draw,” Bilic said.

“I am not going to expose our tactics before the game but we will definitely not be going to Greece for a single point. 

“Maybe 20 years ago Italian sides would play for a draw or the Greek national team a few years back but that is not our style. 

“We have our own philosophy, we play attacking football and play to win. 

“We are not going to change the way we play just because a draw is enough, that would be crazy. 

“Now we are not going to play gung ho football either but for example, we will send five men up for a corner as usual.”

The Black Eagles will secure a place in the Europa League Round of 32 with a draw against Asteras.
