The young FC Nordsjaelland midfielder Emre Mor has confirmed that he has opted to represent the Turkish national team.
The young midfielder also had the chance to play for the Denmark national team and has played for the Danish U18 and U19 sides.
Mor posted a picture on his official Instagram page along with comment, “I am now officially Turkish. I have made a decision to play for the turkish national team. I am very happy and proud to represent the Turkish national team.”
According to the Sun newspaper, Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has been keeping a close eye on the Denmark Under-19s midfielder. The tabloid newspaper goes onto states that Manchester City and Everton are also monitoring the situation.
The 18-year-old of Turkish decent is touted as one of the the most promising youngsters in Europe. Mor’s performances for FC Nordsjaelland Under 19s have earned rave reviews among scouts.
Mor has made two appearances in the Alka Superligaen this season for his club.
