Stoke target Ibrahim Afellay in talks with Antalyaspor

The Barcelona winger Ibrahim Afellay is currently in talks with the newly promoted Antalyaspor according to NTVSpor.

Gencer has promised the fans a star name to co-inside with the opening of Antalyaspor’s new stadium.

The new Antalya Stadium is expected to be ready for the start of the season and will have a maximum capacity of 33.032.

Stoke have been linked with Afellay by the Daily Mail. The 29-year-old’s contract with Barcelona expires at the end of the month.

Afellay joined Barcelona after making 159 appearances for PSV in the Dutch league. The Netherlands international has had loan spells with Schalke and Olymapiacos.

Antalyaspor were promoted to the Süper Lig after beating Samsunspor 4-1 on penalties in the PTT 1. Lig play-off final.

The Antalya based side will join Osmanlıspor and Kayserispor in the top flight next season.

The Scorpions were relegated from the Süper Lig in the 2012-13 season and have returned after just a single league campaign in Turkey’s second division.
