Mesut Ozil was included in the starting line-up for Arsenal’s trip to Sunderland in the Premier League earlier today.
The 27-year-old failed to add to his assist tally and was surprisingly taken off by manager Arsene Wenger in the 84th minute for Jack Wilshere. Ozil started in his favoured number ten role behind the lone striker Olivier Giroud.
The Germany international has provided the highest number of assists in the Premier League this season (18).
Arsenal remain in 4th place in the league following todays result and find themselves level on points in third place who occupy third place.
