Fenerbahçe striker Moussa Sow is set to complete his move to UAE side Al Ahli for a €17million transfer fee according to Fanatik.
The Yellow Canaries released a statement on their official website and the stock exchange confirming that talks are underway.
The statement read: “Talks with Al Ahli over the transfer of Moussa Sow are underway.”
Turkish clubs listed on the stock exchange must release a statement confirming negotiations before disclosing financial details of the transfer.
Statements regarding talks are often a formality before the transfer is officially announced.
Sow will become the most expensive transfer to in Turkish league history to be sold abroad if the deal goes ahead as planned.
The Senegal international had a year remaining on his contract but Al Ahli activated his release clause.
The Daily Star recently reported that the Sunderland had made a €17.72 million offer for the Senegalese international however, Fenerbahçe president Aziz Yıldırım denied receiving the bid.
The 29-year-old scored 16 goals and provided eight assists in all competitions for the Yellow Canaries last season.
